Jailhouse Jig Poster
The title Jailhouse Jig is a play on words of Chicago’s Cell Block Tango. I remembered seeing the women dazzle the audience while explaining their crimes. I wanted to bring that movement into my poster. I found a silhouette of a woman dancing, and I added the marbled paint textures in the background to help emphasize her movement. I chose to tie in the ‘jailhouse’ with a red and blue gradient. I used the direction of the figure and marbled texture to help guide the audience’s eye down the page to the information.
